Step 3 - Flip & Resterize
Let's actually get started shall we? Duplicate your text layer and find on the top of your Adobe Photoshop window Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical. Now move the layer down a tiny bit so there's 1 pixel in between the texts. Lastly, right click on the layer and go to Resterize Type.

Resterizing layers allows you to do whatever you want with them now. When you have a text layer, you can blur it or use filters on it. Nor can you cut pixels off of it, but we can now since we resterized it.
